"For the past five years, I’ve been employed at Thomas Wines in the Hunter Valley as the assistant winemaker. I have had the opportunity to work with a very talented, respected and passionate winemaker within a small company, which undoubtedly has rubbed off. This accompanied with my passion for wine and the wine industry has inspired me to start Corduroy Wines.
My passion for the wine industry began in Adelaide where I am originally from, and where I completed my degree in Oenology.
Corduroy Wines began in 2009 with a focus on producing single vineyard wines within the Hunter Valley. Our philosophy is based around expressing the nature of our fruit. With a traditional, hands on approach to our winemaking and focus on detail, we believe our wines back our philosophy.
Corduroy Wines is currently producing two wines, a Single Vineyard Semillon and a Single Estate Grown Shiraz Cabernet Blend. The individual characteristics of our wines are acquired from these vineyards. The gift of this fruit, along with our winemaking philosophy enables us to produce wines that we believe truly reflect what the world famous Hunter Valley wine region has to offer.”
