Behind Charteris Wines are winemaker PJ Charteris and his partner Christina Pattison, who combined have over three decades of winemaking and wine marketing experience
Driven by their passion for creating wines with individuality and a true sense of place, PJ and Christina have taken their knowledge and expertise to PJ’s birthplace, New Zealand, to create a wine they can proudly call their own.
After years of searching both Australia and New Zealand for the right combination of site and variety, they discovered an ideal Pinot Noir vineyard in Central Otago. The Winter Vineyard is located off Felton Road in Bannockburn, this 1.7 hectare vineyard is solely dedicated to producing high quality Pinot Noir.
The 2008 vintage was the first release from Charteris Wines.
